Patricia Randle

Meeting of July 18, 2012 – Public Input into the Development of EEOC's Strategic Enforcement Plan

Patricia Randle is the Supervisory Attorney for the Women's and Fair Practices Departments of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE). The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest federal employee union representing 600,000 federal and D.C. government workers nationwide and overseas. Workers in virtually all functions of government depend upon AFGE for legal representation, legislative advocacy, technical expertise and informational services. AFGE has been nationally affiliated with the AFL-CIO since AFGE was founded in 1932.

Mrs. Randle works under the leadership of the National Vice President for Women's and Fair Practices. She supervises the EEO Attorneys in the Fair Practices Department, legal interns, and legal assistants. She manages civil rights litigation for the department and she represents AFGE members across the country on civil, human, women, and workers' rights issues in the Federal government, the District of Columbia government, as well as the Federation at large. For more than 35 years respectively, WFP has been an integral part of AFGE's fabric committed to promoting the principles of inclusion, thereby helping to build a model union committed to serving the diverse membership it represents.

Mrs. Randle joined AFGE with more than 30 years of experience in employment law and labor and employee relations. In addition to her years working with the union representing federal employees in various legal forums, she has 20 years of managerial experience and served eight years as a senior executive in the federal government. Mrs. Randle served a special assignment at the White House, Office of Presidential Personnel (OPP) as the African American Outreach Coordinator during the first Clinton Administration.

Mrs. Randle earned her Juris Doctor at the State University of New York Buffalo School of Jurisprudence and her Bachelor of Arts at Hofstra University. She is licensed to practice before the bars of New York State, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Mrs. Randle lives in Maryland with her husband and daughter.
