James Outtz, Ph.D., is the CEO of Outtz and Associates, which is located in Washington D.C.. For nearly 30 years He has worked as a consultant and expert witness on a variety of legal cases, including numerous race discrimination cases. His expertise in race discrimination issues, selection system design and extensive work within the public and private sectors makes him a highly sought after legal compliance consultant and testifying expert. Outtz’s expertise in the area of race discrimination, adverse impact and selection system design are further demonstrated by his published work on these topics, including contributing to two books on the subject. He is the editor of a forthcoming volume in the SIOP Frontiers Series entitled: “Adverse Impact: Implications for Organizational Staffing and High Stakes Selection. “He has served as a consulting expert and, or testifying expert for plaintiffs and defendants in some of the most significant Title VII cases in America, including cases involving companies such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Alcoa, Boeing, CSX Transportation, Ford Motor Company, Johnson and Johnson, Norfolk Southern Railroad, Texaco, Sprint and Zerox.
