Dr. Marc Bendick, Jr. is a Washington-based economist with 30 years' experience as a researcher and consultant specializing in employment. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin and a B.A. in economics and social psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Marc has served as an expert witness in more than 137 employment discrimination cases, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. These have included cases on behalf of the EEOC and many of the nation's largest class actions (for example, Dukes v. Wal-Mart). He is also a consultant on workforce diversity management to some of the nation's largest employers.

Marc is the author of more than 110 scholarly publications, including books, articles in refereed journals, and testimony before Congressional committees. With sponsorship of the Russell Sage Foundation, he and his colleagues are preparing a book titled Diversity Without Inclusion: Employment Discrimination's Next Stage, which amplifies his testimony today.
