Eric Dreiband Takes Oath As EEOC General Counsel

Eric Dreiband was sworn in today as General Counsel of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for a term of four years.  Dreiband, most recently Deputy Administrator for Policy in the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division, was nominated by President Bush on February 4 and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate on July 31.

EEOC AND CHEAP TICKETS REACH $1.1 MILLION SETTLEMENT IN SEXUAL HARASSMENT SUIT

   

LOS ANGELES  The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Cheap Tickets, a leading retailer of discounted leisure travel products, today announced a $1.1 million settlement of the EEOC class action sexual harassment lawsuit under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 against Cheap Tickets, Inc.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today announced the settlement of $4.5 million with Local 580, Ornamental Iron Workers, regarding an alleged violation of a court order concerning the ratio of apprentices to journeypersons on job sites.
