EEOC Appoints Maughan as Dallas Regional Attorney

Timothy Maughan Appointed Regional Attorney

DALLAS – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today the appointment of Timothy Maughan as regional attorney for the agency’s Dallas District Office.

Maughan has fifteen years of litigation experience and over two decades of public law enforcement experience, including time as a judge advocate in the U.S. Air Force and the Department of Justice. He has a comprehensive understanding of employment law and civil rights issues, having represented both employees and employers in a diverse array of discrimination matters in public and private practice; Maughan is also a certified mediator, and a graduate of Western New England College School of Law.

“Tim’s career in public service and broad range of experience will be an asset to the Dallas district, and I’m confident that adding him to our team will strengthen the EEOC’s litigation program as we continue to enforce the federal laws guaranteeing equal opportunity in the workplace,” said EEOC General Counsel Karla Gilbride.

“I am humbled and inspired to be chosen to serve as regional attorney for the Dallas district,” Maughan said. “It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead such an accomplished team of professionals in enforcing our nation’s anti-discrimination laws and making a meaningful difference for the Dallas district and beyond.”

The Dallas District Office is responsible for investigating charges of discrimination and conducting agency litigation in most of Texas and southern New Mexico. The district has offices in Dallas, San Antonio, and El Paso.

The EEOC prevents and remedies unlawful employment discrimination and advances equal opportunity for all. More information is available at www.eeoc.gov. Stay connected with the latest EEOC news by subscribing to our email updates.
