EEOC Updates Youth@Work for National Reentry Week

Will you apply for your first job soon? Do you have a summer job lined up? Do you know someone who does? If so, please take a moment to read about EEOC's Youth@Work program.

Today, we're launching an updated version of our Youth@Work program, designed to help young people understand their rights and responsibilities as they get their first jobs. We're doing this as part of National Reentry Week when the federal government is focusing on the challenges faced by people with arrest and conviction records who want to work and earn a living.  As part of this effort, we will be posting new material on the use of arrest and conviction records in employment, including a Fact Sheet, our first "Did You Know?" video, and quiz questions.

We will be rolling out additional updated material on other subjects throughout the summer on the Youth@Work website and on EEOC's official Facebook and Twitter accounts. If you prefer an in-person interaction, EEOC's outreach specialists will to hold sessions with students at high schools, colleges, and community organizations across the country.

We hope you'll check out www.eeoc.gov/youth and spread the word. Thank you!
