At the EEOC, we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. We recognize the unique skills and perspectives that individuals with disabilities bring to our team. Through the Schedule A Hiring Authority, we offer a streamlined hiring process for individuals with disabilities, ensuring they have the opportunity to contribute their talents to our mission.

What is Schedule A?

5 CFR § 213.3102(u) is a non-competitive hiring authority that allows federal agencies to hire individuals with disabilities without going through the traditional competitive hiring process. This means that qualified candidates can be noncompetitively appointed to positions more quickly and efficiently.

Eligibility for Schedule A Hiring

To be eligible for Schedule A, you must provide:

  • Proof of a disability (such as a letter from a licensed medical professional, a vocational rehabilitation specialist, or a disability benefits agency).
  • Proof of qualifications (such as a resume and relevant certifications).

How to Apply
