EEOC Sues Koch Foods for Sexual Harassment, National Origin and Race Discrimination

Ala. – Koch Foods of Mississippi, LLC, violated federal law by subjecting a class of female employees to harassment, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit it filed today.  The EEOC said Koch Foods subjected a class of female Hispanic employees in its Morton, Miss., poultry processing plant to various forms of sex-based harassment, including sexual assaults over several years.  The lawsuit also accuses Koch Foods of discrimination against a class of male Hispanic employees because of their national origin.

One of the world's largest security firms violated federal law when it failed to stop co-worker harassment of a guard concerning his national origin and age, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today. According to the EEOC, Guardsmark not only ignored the employee's reports of harassment, but retaliated against him with an involuntary transfer.

ENGlobal, a Beaumont-based engineering firm, will pay $100,000 and provide additional remedial relief to settle a disability discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today. The EEOC had charged ENGlobal Engineering, Inc, also known as ENGlobal U.S., Inc., with unlawfully firing an employee because it mistakenly assumed he had multiple sclerosis (MS) that would substantially limit his ability to work.

Ricoh to Pay $125,000 to Settle EEOC Harassment and Retaliation Lawsuit

Ricoh Americas Corporation has agreed to pay $125,000 and provide substantial additional relief to settle a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for race and national origin and retaliation, the agency announced today.   The EEOC had charged the company with subjecting an African employee to harassment because of his race and national origin and two Hispanic employees to harassment based on national origin at one of its work sites in Greensboro, N.C.  The lawsuit further charged that Ricoh suspended and then fired all three employees for complaining about the harassment.
