Royal Dining and Better 4 You Breakfast Sued For Sex-Based Harassment and Retaliation

Royal Dining Catering, Inc., Royal Dining Group, and Better 4 You Breakfasts, related companies that provide prepared meals to schools, violated federal law by subjecting four male employees in Phoenix to a hostile work environment based on their sex, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today. EEOC also charged the companies by illegally retaliating against the complainants by refusing to rehire the men and a female co-worker because they reported the unlawful discrimination.

Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, Management Company to Pay $1.4M to Settle EEOC Sexual Harassment and Retaliation Suit

The owner/operator and management company for a Columbus Texas Roadhouse restaurant will pay $1.4 million and furnish significant equitable relief to settle a class sexual harassment suit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today. EEOC had charged East Columbus Host, LLC and management company Ultra Steak, Inc. with victimizing a group of female employees as young as 17 years old by subjecting them to sexual harassment and then retaliating against them for complaining.

Security Firm To Pay $115,000 To Settle EEOC Retaliation Suit

Security giant Guardsmark has agreed to pay $115,000 and to provide other relief to settle a retaliation discrimination case brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today. EEOC sued Guardsmark for retaliating against a security guard who opposed a sexually hostile work environment.

EEOC Sues Bojangles For  Sex Harassment and Retaliation

Bojangles Restaurants, Inc., a North Carolina corporation operating a chain of fast food restaurants in the Southeast, violated federal law by subjecting a transgender employee to a hostile work environment because of her gender identity, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today. The lawsuit also alleges that Bojangles illegally fired the employee in retaliation for reporting the sexual harassment.

Task Force Co-Chairs Call On Employers and Others to "Reboot" Harassment Prevention

Prime, Inc. to Pay Over $3 Million After Court Ruled it Used Discriminatory Hiring Practices

New Prime Trucking, Inc., one of the nation's largest trucking companies, will pay over $3.1 million and will make job offers to women who were victims of the company's unlawful discriminatory hiring policy, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today. The payments follow an earlier court order finding that the company violated federal law by discriminating against female truck driver applicants when it required that they be trained only by female trainers.

Ninth Circuit Reinstates EEOC Case Against  The GEO Group for Sexual Harassment, Retaliation in Arizona Prisons

The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated a class sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against The GEO Group, Inc., the federal agency announced yesterday. EEOC's suit charged that GEO, which operates and manages two prison facilities in Florence, Ariz., discriminated against female prison employees by subjecting them to physical and verbal harassment and retaliation.
