EEOC PANEL TO DISCUSS PAY EQUITY ISSUE AT LANDMARK MEETING IN PHILADELPHIA

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission rarely meets outside of Washington, and has never done so to discuss equal pay in the workplace. However, it will meet in Philadelphia on Tuesday, April 13, to hear outside-the-beltway testimony from individuals representing various EEOC constituency groups on the issue of equal-pay-for-equal- work. The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of the Federal Reserve Bank, 10 Independence Mall.

EEOC Reaches out to Organized Labor and Older Workers, Hears From AFL-CIO and AARP at Commission Meeting

EEOC ANNOUNCES $2.1 MILLION SETTLEMENT OF WAGE DISCRIMINATION SUIT FOR CLASS OF FILIPINO NURSES

KANSAS CITY, MO -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today announced a $2.1 million settlement of a class employment discrimination lawsuit against Woodbine Healthcare Center (Woodbine), a nursing home in Gladstone, Mo. The suit alleged that Woodbine discriminated against 65 Filipino registered nurses in wages, assignments, and other terms and conditions of employment due to their national origin.

EEOC RELEASES ADA POLICY GUIDANCE ON JOB ACCOMMODATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today released a comprehensive policy guidance entitled Reasonable Accommodation and Undue Hardship Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The guidance addresses the duty of employers to provide "reasonable accommodations" to applicants and employees with disabilities under Title I of the ADA. EEOC ISSUES GUIDANCE CLARIFYING RIGHT TO PROTECTION AGAINST RETALIATION

EEOC SCORES MAJOR VICTORY IN MITSUBISHI LAWSUIT

CHICAGO -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) scored a major legal victory yesterday in its class action sexual harassment lawsuit against Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America, Inc.
