Hillshire Brands Company Sued by EEOC  For Racial Harassment at Sara Lee Plant

Hillshire Brands Company (formerly known as the Sara Lee Corporation) violated federal law by subjecting a class of African-American employees to a racially hostile work environment, including racially offensive graffiti and comments at the workplace, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charged in a lawsuit it filed today.

IDEX Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of fluidics systems with locations nationwide, including multiple posts in Florida, violated federal anti-discrimination law when it terminated a regional manager based on his disability, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed on July 27, 2015.  The EEOC's lawsuit coincides with the ADA's 25th anniversary on July 22, 2015.

Draper Development, LLC, doing business as Subway, which operates at least 24 Subway restaurants in the Albany area, violated federal law by subjecting two teenage female job applicants to sexual harassment when its manager offered them jobs in exchange for sex, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit it filed on July 21, 2015.

Rehabilitation Facility Agrees to Pay $55,000 to Settle EEOC Discrimination Suit

Alden Estates of Naperville, Inc. will pay $55,000 to settle a disability discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.  EEOC's suit had alleged that Alden fired its admissions director while she was out on a medical leave of absence, one week before she was able to return to work.  Alden Estates of Naperville, Inc. provides transitional care and rehabilitation services to patients in the western suburbs of Chicago.
