Office Hours

The Washington Field Office is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Almost all intake is conducted by appointment. To schedule an appointment, use the online system at https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/portal/ or access the system via www.eeoc.gov.

Walk-in intake hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon).  However, scheduling an intake appointment is strongly encouraged.  We give priority to Individuals with appointments and those whose legal deadline for filing a charge is about to expire; we may not be able to interview others.

Everyone visiting our office must pass through building security, which includes metal detector screening, and must show a valid government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license). Plan to arrive at the building 15 minutes prior to your appointment, to get through security. If you arrive more than fifteen minutes late to your appointment, you will be considered a Walk-in, and we may not be able to see you that day.  The office is located half a block from the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro station (Red Line/M Street exit), and there are some parking garages nearby if you drive.

If you have a disability which prevents you from accessing the online portal or you otherwise have difficulty accessing the portal in order to schedule an intake appointment, please call 1-800-669-4000.
