EEOC to Hold Third Public Meeting of Select Task Force on Workplace Harassment

Two Panels of Experts Will Discuss Wide-Ranging Bases of Harassment; Use of Social Media to Combat Harassment

WASHINGTON--The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's (EEOC) Select Task Force on the Study of Harassment in the Workplace will hold its third public meeting on Monday, December 7, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), at EEOC headquarters, 131 M Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 

At the meeting, the Select Task Force will first hear from a panel of experts on a wide range of bases of harassment, including age, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. The second panel will explore the use of social media to combat harassment. Confirmed panelists include:

  • Lisa Banks, Partner, Katz, Marshall & Banks, LLP
  • Tara Borelli, Senior Attorney, Lambda Legal
  • Dan Kohrman, Senior Attorney, AARP Foundation Litigation
  • Anne Johnson, Executive Director, Generation Progress, Center for American Progress
  • Jess Kutch, Co-Founder, Coworker.org

Members of the public and press are cordially invited to observe. Seating is limited, and EEOC encourages visitors to arrive 30 minutes before the meeting to be processed through security and escorted to the meeting room. Visitors should bring a government-issued photo identification card to facilitate entry into the building.
